Jetstar Asia Airways Children Flying Alone Policy
Jetstar Asia Airways does not offer an unaccompanied minor service. Passengers aged over 12 but younger than 18 years old who are traveling alone on a Jetstar Asia (3K) flight, or a Jetstar flight connecting to a Jetstar Asia (3K) flight, must adhere to the following requirements:
- Have a parent or guardian download, print, fill in, and sign the
declaration form to grant permission for independent travel.
- Be accompanied to the airport check-in counter by a parent or guardian who
must show valid ID and present the signed declaration form to a Jetstar team
member.
A young passenger traveling alone on Jetstar Airways (JQ) flights is considered
able to travel independently if they are currently attending or enrolled in
secondary school and meet all Jetstar Independent Traveler Requirements. To
qualify, they must:
- Present proof at check-in of current attendance or enrollment in secondary
school.
- Meet all Jetstar Independent Traveler Requirements.
For passengers aged 12 years or over, proof of age can be accepted as proof of
secondary school enrollment. This is because in Australia and New Zealand,
anyone aged 12 and over is generally required to be enrolled in secondary
school.
