Singapore Airlines Children Flying Alone Policy

Children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are classified as Unaccompanied Minors. Similar to many other airlines, Singapore Airlines offers a service specifically designed to assist these young travelers throughout their journey, ensuring their safe transportation from departure to arrival.

The Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service is mandatory for children aged 5 to 12 who are traveling without an adult. For children aged 12 to 18 who do not require this service, you can download and complete the "UM Assistance and Handling Waiver form" and inform your local Singapore Airlines office accordingly.

Children under 5 years old are not permitted to travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult. Airlines may request documented proof of a child's age at any time.

For details regarding fees associated with the Unaccompanied Minor service, please reach out to the Singapore Airlines Reservation & Ticketing Office.
